How do I use market feedback to improve my job search?
Look for repeated signals at each conversion point, then change one part of the strategy at a time.
Look at what is happening in your search. Which conversations are moving forward? Where are people asking for more information? One unanswered email doesn’t tell you that your approach is wrong. Look for patterns, decide what to improve, and keep doing what is working.
Diagnose the conversion point
If outreach gets little response, examine the target, relevance, and message. If networking conversations are warm but lead nowhere, your direction may be too broad for others to act on. If applications produce interviews but interviews do not advance, the written story is working and the live evidence needs attention.
Record signals while they are fresh. Memory tends to exaggerate the most emotional moments.
Decide what to improve
Use the pattern to decide whether the target, message, or interview story needs more work. Seek feedback from people who understand the level, function, and CPG context you are pursuing. Generic advice can create unnecessary noise.

CPG markets offer feedback through replies, recruiter calls, warm introductions, interview progression, and objections. The useful discipline is to look for repeated patterns without allowing one emotional interaction to become the whole story.

- What is my current search activity teaching me about demand?
- Where am I waiting for a posting instead of creating a relevant conversation?
- Which action this week would produce better evidence, not simply more activity?
